I just finish my Joop Swart Masterclass project

03 On-this-side-of-the-mountain

Done! Finally I finish my project “On this side of the mountain” for the Joop Swart Masterclass from World Press Photo. With this project I wanted to make an introspective turn into my work. During this time I have been exploring the relationship between love, family and land. My objective was to make a poetic and visual map of my sorroundings, documenting my own family.

Thanks to Whitney Johnson from The New Yorker to select my Urban Quilombo work as a winner at the Daylight / CDS Photo Awards Juror Picks at the Project Prize section . I also got an Honorable Mention in the Work-in-Progress Prize for my long term project Bahia (enlace a galeria).
